Smoky Sausage Grilled Pizza

Time to switch up your dinner routine and dust off that grill! We've been A&H fans for years and while their hot dogs and salami are staples at our barbecues, this Smoky Sausage Grilled Pizza is a game changer!

You'll need:
2 tbsp oil
2 Abeles & Heymann sausages, sliced
1 poblano pepper, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
Salt to taste
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp BBQ sauce
1 ball pizza dough, at room temperature
3 Tbsp oil
1/4 c red pepper spread
Drizzle of garlic mayo
Fresh basil

Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat on your grill. Add the oil, sausages, pepper and onion. Season with salt and stir. Close the grill and prepare the pizza dough. Drizzle oil over the dough and stretch to desired size. Open the lid, add minced garlic to the skillet and stir. Place the pizza dough directly on the grates over medium heat. Close the lid and allow to cook several minutes. Open the lid, add BBQ sauce to the skillet and stir. Use tongs to flip the pizza dough over. Spread the pepper spread all over the top of the pizza, then top with sausage mixture. Close the lid to allow the pizza dough to cook through. Remove to a board, drizzle with garlic mayo and sprinkle fresh basil on top.
