Perfect Pastrami 

1 package Abeles & Heymann's pastrami deckel

Place the pastrami in the packaging (do not open!) in an oven-safe pan and fill with water until fully covered. Cover the pan with two layers of foil and place in a 225 degree oven overnight, or for a minimum of 12-15 hours. 

Alternatively, you may cook the pastrami in a slow cooker. Keep the pastrami in its packaging, cover with water and set the slow cooker to low. Cook overnight or for a minimum of 12-15 hours. 

Remove the pastrami from the packaging and use the back of a knife to remove some of the seasoning, leaving a thin layer to crust the pastrami. Slice and serve with mustard and pickles.
